Tours
Hiking, swimming, snorkeling, horseback riding . . . Or just relax in the hammock reading a book and enjoying the great view! The surrounding area of the Corcovado National Park offers something for everyone.
Hiking at corcovado national park
You take a boat ride to the nearby park station San Pedrillo. From there you hike on different trails through the jungle and can take a refreshing bath at the San Pedrillo waterfall. On the way there you may observe a large variety of the pacific lowland forest, and with luck, some of it's inhabitants (agouti, quatimundi, parrots, monkeys, sloths, etc.).
Snorkeling on caño island
The main attraction of the inhabited Caño Island is the surrounding underwater world. The clear water around the coral reefs invites you to snorkel and swim. On the way to the Island you often can see dolphins, turtles and whales. On the Island, a hiking trail is available that brings you to a viewpoint and some pre-Columbian artifacts.
Fishing-Dolphins-Sunset
For this tour we start in the late afternoon. With some luck we prepare you fresh fish for dinner. While you try your fishing luck you can hopefully observe some dolphins and enjoy an impressive sunset.
Horseback riding
You start after breakfast or lunch. The very gentle horses (fine for beginners and kids) bring you along the beach or through the forest trails to the refreshing Rio Claro. There you explore the river either swimming or with a canoe.
Diving on caño island
After an approximately 45 minutes boat ride you jump off the boat for your first immersion in the impressive underwater-world that surrounds Caño Island. Then the boat takes you to Caño Island where you have lunch and time for a rest. In the afternoon you experience the second immersion, before the boat takes you back to Las Caletas.
